Help us open doors to education, support, and stronger maternity care for families across New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Every family deserves access to knowledge, compassionate support, and meaningful choices throughout pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Haven Circle is building a community of support around that belief.
Haven Circle is dedicated to advancing equitable access to safe, respectful, evidence-based, midwifery-led maternity and birth care.
Our mission is to support families and their communities through education and wellness, strengthen the maternal health workforce, encourage research and quality improvement, and build partnerships that advance the birth center model.
We believe meaningful maternity care extends beyond a single appointment or birth experience. It includes the resources, relationships, and support systems that help families make informed decisions throughout the perinatal journey.

Haven Circle seeks to develop and support programs that respond to the needs of families, birth professionals, and the communities they serve.
Needs-Based Scholarships
Help expand access to perinatal education and support for families who might otherwise face financial barriers.
Scholarship opportunities are envisioned through an application process with established eligibility criteria.
Family Education and Wellness
Support opportunities for families to learn, connect, and prepare for pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum recovery, infant care, and the transitions that come with parenthood.
Potential initiatives include childbirth education, prenatal and postpartum support, lactation and infant-feeding resources, emotional wellness education, and pregnancy-loss support.
Family and Community Support Groups
Help create welcoming opportunities for parents and families to find encouragement, shared understanding, and meaningful connections.
This includes the broader support network of partners, fathers, siblings, grandparents, and other family members when relevant.
Education for Birth Professionals and First Responders
Support opportunities for midwives, student midwives, nurses, doulas, lactation professionals, childbirth educators, community health workers, and first responders to strengthen their knowledge and skills.
Potential activities include mentorship, professional education, simulation, hands-on skills practice, and interdisciplinary learning.
Research, Collaboration and Community Needs
Help advance work that strengthens community-based maternity care through research, quality improvement, health literacy, collaborative training, and community needs assessments.
These initiatives are intended to improve knowledge, encourage informed decision-making, and strengthen connections across care settings.
These are priority areas and planned initiatives. Not every program is already operating or funded. We share this vision honestly so you know what Haven Circle hopes to become.
Beyond the Birth Experience
Because Families Need Support Before, During and After Birth
Our vision is a community where education and support extend across the entire perinatal journey.
That means helping families prepare for birth, navigate the postpartum transition, find infant-feeding resources, access emotional wellness education, and connect with others who understand their experiences.
It also means recognizing that partners, grandparents, siblings, and other loved ones play important roles in the transition to parenthood. Through Haven Circle, we hope to make these resources more accessible, especially for families experiencing financial hardship or other barriers to comprehensive support.
Educating the Next Generation

Supporting families also means supporting the professionals who care for them.
Haven Circle envisions expanded educational opportunities for the maternal health and birth workforce, from student midwives and doulas to nurses, lactation professionals, childbirth educators, community health workers, and first responders.
Through mentorship, continuing education, hands-on learning, and interdisciplinary collaboration, we hope to contribute to a stronger and more connected maternity-care community.

Our long-term vision includes opportunities for shared education, emergency preparedness, continuity-of-care discussions, quality improvement, and research that strengthens the birth center model.

Haven Circle is currently a fiscally sponsored initiative supported by AABC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity.
Haven Circle is not yet an independently registered nonprofit organization. Through its fiscal sponsorship relationship, Haven Circle can raise funds in support of initiatives aligned with its mission.
Our official fundraising campaign is hosted through Givebutter and identifies AABC Foundation as the organizing charitable organization.
